Who can enroll?
To enroll as a Student of the ARTS, you need to meet these qualifications:
- 13 years or older — Students under 18 require parent or guardian consent.
- Physically capable of handling automotive tools and equipment
What does training cover?
Offerings listed for A.R.T.S. training:
Currently running
- Virtual Sim Spray — Simulated equipment that lets students handle a spray gun without being in a live shop. No dust, no hazardous chemicals, no risk of damaging a vehicle.
- Paint Correction — Hands-on training on a live vehicle, correcting minor imperfections on exterior panels with no major damage.
- Ceramic Coating — Hands-on training applying ceramic coating on a live vehicle. Currently using Opticoat products.

- Live Spraying — Refinishing on a live vehicle in a partner shop booth.
- Bodywork — Panel repair and metal finishing.
- Estimating — Writing and reading repair estimates.
- Customer Service — Front-of-house communication and repair-order handling.
- Parts Procurement — Sourcing, ordering, and verifying parts.
- Disassembly & Reassembly — Teardown and rebuild as part of the full repair process.
Is there a cost?
No tuition for anyone who meets one of the following:
- Current CSN automotive program student
- Veteran
- Returning citizens through prison ministry
- Anyone who donates to the cause
If you do not meet a no-cost qualification, ask a representative about:
- Sponsorship
- Sponsorship by your shop employer
- Personal projext
Do I need experience?
Prior experience is not a listed requirement for Student of the ARTS. The listed qualifications are age eligibility (Students under 18 require parent or guardian consent.) and being physically capable of handling automotive tools and equipment.
How old do you have to be?
Students can start at 13 with parent or guardian consent. There is no upper age limit. The requirement is being physically capable of handling automotive tools and equipment.
Do you offer evening or weekend training?
Yes. Training runs on weekday evenings and on Saturdays. Exact hours rotate with instructor and shop availability, so contact us for the current schedule.
What are the Gears?

Can I donate a vehicle?
Yes. Inquire about donating a vehicle. For Member of the ARTS, a donated vehicle must be repairable to a road-legal condition so it can be gifted to a family in need.
Can I have my vehicle repaired?
Yes. Inquire about vehicle repair. Your vehicle runs through the full training program, estimating to delivery. Slower than a production shop, and priced case by case. All profit funds the cause.
